iPhone Sim: "Moving Pictures" e-book
Yes, it doesn't have 3G out-of-the-gate (no YouTube!), and we don't know if it supports Flash (no YouTube?), and it's locked down so you can't add memory or 3rd party apps, and they're going to ask $499+ for it, but the bottom line is that iPhone (best YouTube video here) will be a must-have.
So much so, that they've made not one (pdf), but two (pdf) Papercraft models for it, and even had a mock Unboxing of said papercraft already. The only thing they haven't done yet is get Doom/Linux/etc. to run on it.
In the spirit of all this pre-launch enthusiasm we've built a simulation of what it might look like to read the first 28 pages of our Moving Pictures Tech Fiction (HTML, PDF and PSP e-book also available) in the iPhone's photo viewer [click on the screen to advance pages]. The below is pixel accurate at 320x480, but looks much bigger than the eventual actual size because of the iPhone's very high 150 ppi:
